For young people everywhere, sport can be a means of staying healthy, learning valuable skills and nurturing real talent. All it takes is the right guidance.
We’ve been working with Salford City in partnership since 2018, supporting the Club’s youth and development teams.
The Salford City youth team recruits young talented footballers from the Greater Manchester region and gives them an opportunity to develop and grow. As a business we are passionate about making sure the youth around Salford’s community receives the best opportunity to excel in their careers, whether it is through football or the dedicated programme at Trafford College, which all 16 to 18 year old scholars attend. The Club provides all recruits with life skills they can use in the future in order to give the best possible foundations to succeed.
2020 has thrown some unique challenges our way, but Salford City has shown a great attitude and positive approach to deal with the limitations in fulfilling their day-to-day passion of football.
As a partner, we’re incredibly proud of the youth team‘s developments in 2020, including three first team contracts being awarded to the Under-18s squad, after finishing top of the EFL Youth Alliance North West division in their debut season. In the current campaign, 14 players from the youth and development squads have made appearances for the first team, demonstrating the pathway and opportunity available to young players at Salford City

A major pillar of the Class of ’92’s ethos when they first approached the Club was to set up an Academy and provide a pathway for young players in Salford to play first team football.
